There’s nothing quite like puppy day! This week, we had double the excitement!

Tala decided that day 64 was the perfect time to welcome her puppies into the world. She began early Wednesday morning at 2:10 a.m. She handled everything like a champ! We are so proud of her for being such a exceptional first time momma.

But the excitement didn’t stop there.

After Tala delivered her second puppy, Yue decided she didn’t want to wait another week and miss out on the fun. At 3:45 a.m., Yue welcomed her very first puppy! And just like that, we officially had two mamas in labor at the same time.

Over the next several hours, both girls worked hard bringing their little ones into the world. After about 10 hours, Tala delivered her 11th puppy. Yes, she had eleven! Shortly after, around 12:55 p.m., Yue welcomed her final , and 8th puppy as well.

When the dust settled we finally got a chance to breath. We counted 19 beautiful puppies total.

That means our home is currently bustling with:

  • 19 puppies

  • 2 proud mamas

  • 1 additional resident dog

22 dogs in the house! (With an additional 3 cats.)
Safe to say, things are a pretty lively around here!

We’re so grateful that all 19 puppies are doing wonderfully , growing steadily, nursing well, and soaking up every moment with their moms. Tala and Yue have both been attentive, loving, and incredibly nurturing.

Our home may be full, a little noisy, and running on less sleep than usual but our hearts are fuller than ever. We are so excited to welcome these 19 precious pups into our growing Perlune family and can’t wait to watch them thrive in the weeks ahead.

We did some quick photoshoots of the babies to share with you! Some puppies were a bit more complaint in their photos than others. Some were just squirmy little babies who didn’t want to smile for the camera.
